Seminar gives generously

The participants of the Margie Carter seminars gave generously to the people of Samoa and surrounding Islands following the recent Tsunami. $1,000 was donated at the Margie Seminar and this was given to the Farmers Store who matched the donation dollar for dollar which made a generous $2,000 as the total donation to help the lives of the survivors.

Thank you to all who work so hard to bring such fabulous seminars.
This was a truly inspirational seminar, and as quoted by our supervisor “it takes the Americans to use the learning story concepts and take it to the level and dimension that it truly was intended for”. The honnesty, the depth of reflection and the profesionalism of the teacher Rukia gave us a lot to think about when we write our learning stories.
We are challenged to be more reflective and collaborative building a culture of the WE and stop singing the old song I did it my way…

But truly it is hard to articulate all that was “caught” rather than “taught” both by Margie herself and the REANZ comittee who showed passion and commitment for the future of our teaching practice as Early childhood teachers and the future of our children. We look forward to more seminars.
